1.Installation   (skip this section in case of installer program)


Unzip the mru.dcp file into the folder where DClean.exe resides. 
That's it. The plug-in is ready to use.


2. What does it do?


This plug-in allows the cleaning of the 
 - Run... Dialog entries,
 - Recent documents
 - Find Document list
 - Find Computer list
 - Typed URLs in the Internet Explorer address bar
 - Typed URLs in the shell address bar
 - Media Player Recent URLs (includes local files)
 - WinZip Recent Files
 - WinZip Extract To Folders
 - Paint Recent Files
 - WordPad Recent Files


3. Notes


Sometimes when you clean the Run... window entries, you'll still see 
them after Disk Cleaner has completed the operation. It seems like 
Windows caches the entries in memory. Log off and log on again, or 
restart the computer to clear the cache.


4. History

 - Version 1.0.0.45

Removed a stupid bug that I introduced when tidying some cleaning 
code. This has affected cleaning of Windows Media Player 6.4 and 
lower MRUs, and maybe other items as well. 

 - Version 1.0.0.42

Changed the way the Recent Documents list in the Start menu are
cleaned. This is now handled by Windows directly and is therefore 
less bug-sensitive. 


 - Version 1.0.0.35

Added: 

 - WinZip Recent Files
 - WinZip Extract To Folders
 - Paint Recent Files
 - WordPad Recent Files

Fixed bug that prevented the Find Computer list from being emptied
properly.

 - Version 1.0.0.19

Added Media Player Recent URLs.

Changed behaviour of plug-in. Even when cleaning a certain item
is not possible (i.e. because of absence of needed registry keys), 
the item will be shown (in contrast, they used to be hidden from 
the list). Even when selected, the plug-in will simply skip it if it 
is not available for cleaning.

Also, for consistency, items now use uppercase first letters on
words in the item's title (i.e. 'Run... list' changed to 'Run... List').
In some cases one item used 'list' while the other(s) used 'List'. 
Thanks to Jim McNamara for his very thorough consistency checks.


 - Version 1.0.0.14

Removed nasty bug that caused the deletion of the Windows\Recent
folder in some cases. This will not happen anymore. Thanks to gth.

 - Version 1.0.0.10:

Renamed item 'URLs in Run... Dialog' to 'URLs in Shell Address Bar'.
Removed a bug that caused Disk Cleaner to stop cleaning certain
items sometimes.


 - Version 1.0.0.2:

First release.
